Love Leads

3 o'clock wake up call
For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. – (NLT) Ephesians 2:10

This is how the Message version of the Bible explains each one of us as God’s “masterpiece”.
Now God has us where he wants us, with all the time in this world and the next to shower grace and kindness upon us in Christ Jesus. Saving is all his idea, and all his work. All we do is trust him enough to let him do it. It’s God’s gift from start to finish! We don’t play the major role. If we did, we’d probably go around bragging that we’d done the whole thing! No, we neither make nor save ourselves. God does both the making and saving. He creates each of us by Christ Jesus to join him in the work he does, the good work he has gotten ready for us to do, work we had better be doing. – (MSG) Ephesians 2:10

Three things from this passage stand out to me:

  1. You were made by God to live in this particular time in history.  God chose exactly the dates that you would live on the earth then live forever in heaven with Him.

  1. God saved you through faith in Jesus for a divine purpose.  God decided even before you were born what “work” you were assigned to do on this planet, “For such a time as this.”

  1. God is counting on us to fulfill our purpose, to be an important piece in His grand and beautiful “kingdom puzzle.”

Queen Esther found herself living in Persia after the Jewish people had been exiled from their homeland.  When Esther was chosen to be the Queen, she had no idea that God had perfectly placed her to save the Jewish nation.  Her one piece of the puzzle changed history.  What if your life’s history is really His Story being lived out day by day?

Ask God to lead you down the paths He has planned for you.  Thank Him for your unique gifts and talents that can be woven into a beautiful tapestry, a life lived on purpose for His purpose.  When you find yourself envious of someone else’s talents or paths, stop and remember you are God’s masterpiece; treasured, adored, cherished, dearly loved.  Don’t let envy derail you from living your best life.  Keep your eyes on the One who leads you.  As you follow the plans God has for you, you will see His hand at work and live out your divine assignments.

DAY 15 – Love Leads

For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. – (NLT) Ephesians 2:10

Daily Reminder:
God chose the exact time in history you would live on this earth.  He gave you your divine assignments.  Love living them out day by day and thank God for how He uniquely made you beautiful and purposeful.

Real Life Reflection Questions:
1.    Do you ask God to lead you or do you run ahead and later ask God to bless your road?

2.    When your 3pm Wake Up Call sounds, list off in your mind the unique ways God made you.  See yourself as God’s “masterpiece”.  Thank Him for giving your direction and guidance.

3.    What is one of your “divine assignments” from God during this season of your life?  How can you work on this with all your heart and mind?  How can it draw you closer to God and into a deeper love for yourself?

QUICK PRAYER –
Lord God,
Thank you for making me – Your masterpiece.  When I start to put myself down, stop me and remind me that You made me beautiful and with divine purposes for “such a time as this.”
In Jesus’ Precious Name I Pray, Amen

TODAY’S THOUGHTS – See yourself as God’s Masterpiece!
